WARNING!!!!!!!! STRANGERS BEWARE

FRONT DOOR

SEVERAL WINDOWS HAVE THIS ONE

BACK DOOR

If you have read some of my post or took a look at my web page you know that during my 67 years of living ,I have done a lot of things in my life , and one of the things , I was in the Burgler Alarm Business with a friend of mine in Alaska for a few years we sold and installed and also monitered the systems and we reported a alarm to the Police for them to respond. I am a firm believer in protecting you home and family (because there is always someone out there that wants what you have and will stop at nothing to get it , given the right opportunity) and a good way to protect you home and family from this ever happening to you and yours is a electronic alarm system, there are companies that sell systems that they will install in Thailand, and you can also buy all you need to design and install a system for yourself if you like . They are not hard to install and really not all that expensive, and a lot of wireless components are available for you to chose from , one of the most important devices you need to install is a loud horn or siern to make as much noise as possible . and if possile have a few lights over the front and back areas that come on when the system is tripped . nothing scares a would be intruder more than noise and lights .
Now here is a little secret, for all of you , when we use to sell a alarm systems to a customer, we had a joke , "we will sell you the Alarm Stickers for the price agreed upon and throw in the Alarm System for free." There is nothing that strikes fear in the heart of a would be intruder than to see a Alarm Sticker posted on a window or door of a home they plan on burglerizing. They never know if you have one or not and will not take a chance in 95% of the cases I personally investigated. You can go on the net and google SECURITY ALARM STICKERS, theres lots of them to save in your pictures and then print and cut out and paste in your windows are tape to you doors , DON'T LAUGH it works . I know you Thai readers are saying "this is Thailand you and they can't read english", they can read more than you think they can , and they can see the warnings on the stickers , and most of the time it will cause them to change their minds . For you living on countries other than Thailand it will work as well there and a alarm system is good advise for you too.I'm not going to tell you if I have a alarm system or not but one thing you can be sure of, I have stickers on all my doors and a few windows , and if you're a burglar readiing this "maybe so --- maybe not for me to know and you to wonder",and if you want more info on the subject you can e-mail me and I will be glad to give you some expert and experienced advise Malcolm

Malcolm I had considered an alarm here, but the internal security on my home is such that anyone trying to enter(having got past the soi dogs) would struggle to get through the deadlocks and security bars if I was home.

When I am away I slip a local guy a few Baht to keep an eye out, he wanders round the mooban with a Colt .45 (true)and a bl**dy dog that is the nastiest beast I have ever come across. He (the man) also drinks like a fish so I am careful walking around after dark.

Being an ex-cop I know the value of such stuff-in the UK I had a lookalike alarm box and the stickers (free).

Thanks for those tips M. !

If you have a fake, or real, alarm box remember to give it a wipe over once a year so the system looks as if it is maintained.

To all commenters , maybe it helps to keep the burglars away and maybe not , but I had rather be safe than sorry , and if you google the net for burglar alarms and stickers , they ALL say that your first line of defense is the stickers or signs in the yard warning folks that your home is wired for protection, I have learn that you cannot depend on dogs to protect your home , a hot dog will make him forget everythink he has been trained to do , and you can't think that your neighbors are going yo sit and watch your home 24 hrs a day and it only take 15 min and they are in and out and noone knows nothing espically if the burglar is from your village and all his relatives know him ,a few bucks and a share of the loot will close their eyes and ears to it all, and the answer if you are burglarize will be I DON'T KNOW NOTHING . Believe me I know from experience, and as I said before BETTER SAFE , THAN SORRY .
A LITTLE NUMBERS THAT ARE FOR REAL 80% OF ALL HOME INVASIONS ARE FOLKS THAT HAVE BEEN IN YOUR HOME BEFORE , AND KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE AND WHERE , OR MOST OF THE TIME IT IS A RELATIVE OR A FRIEND OF A RELATIVE THAT WAS TOLD WHAT YOU HAVE IN YOUR HOME. AND THATS ALL I'M GOING TO SAY ABOUT THAT .

THANKS FOR STOPPING BY FOR THE READ AND FOR THE DIFFERENT COMMENTS TOO . Malcolm

Can anyone recommend the top Endpoint Security utility for a small IT service company like mine? Does anyone use Kaseya.com or GFI.com? How do they compare to these guys I found recently: N-able N-central network security software
? What is your best take in cost vs performance among those three? I need a good advice please... Thanks in advance!
